	12/31/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: What do others think? We're about one year into the administration of "Diploma Mill" McNeil. Based on what we've seen to this point, it appears that our secretary is definetely more the "monkey" than the "organ grinder". Chief McNeil,all those smiling faces around you are not laughing with you. You had better open your eyes and check out those that have been placed close around you. Snide comments behind your back and rolling eyes really tell the story. ~Insider
	12/30/07 DJJ Policy: Just a thought: If there is any sincerity in the most recent talk of reform at DJJ; Why not start with simple steps like putting a stop to the routine personal use (misuse) of state vehicles,work time, travel expenses and even office supplies and equipment? Corruption is corruption, start at the bottom. Long-established practices of inept oversight of contracts and programs, secrecy and cover-ups and the presence of so many self-serving career bureaucrats... ~State Employee
	12/29/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: As a proud alum of Harvard College and School of Taxidermy located in downtown Hog Waller West virginia, I congratulate Walter McNeil on his noteworthy academic credentials from the prestigeious St.Johns University located at the post office somewhere in Louisiana. With such high academic standards and professional credibility it is easy to understand why DJJ is in such an "excellent" condition. ~Kudos for Academic Excellence
	12/29/07 DJJ Policy: So long as Shari Turner goes undisciplined for her failure to ensure the transfer of important medical (and risk factor) information, we will know that nothing has changed at DJJ. Canned data, phoney public (Blurprint) spectacles and in-house evaluations/investigations can not deceive the public or the legislature forever. 	12/28/07 DJJ Policy: J4K should be commended for recommending "independent oversight" for DJJ residential programs. We have observed the theft, abuse,fraud and tragic death that has resulted from DJJ's incompetent and corrupt monitoring and oversight of facilities and programs. Does anyone actually think people like Sexy Rexy, Fat Fred,and No-Job Davis or Sell-Out Criswell will protect the welfare of at-risk youth? Not bloody likely! Count me in as another J4K fan that calls for Secreatary McNeil to "Come Clean or Get Lost". ~J4K Fan
	12/28/07 DJJ Policy: Regarding the Letter From DJJ's Tim Niermann to the St. Pete Times: Is it a coincidence that DJJ officials across the state sent almost identical letters to local newspapers similtaneousley? A recent posting noted that every message that comes from DJJ has been crafted,manipulated and vetted by the inner circle spin-masters in Tallahassee. Apparently the latest DJJ PR promotion called for local "Department Mouthpieces" to get some exposure by making an "invitation" to attend the DJJ councils. In reality the last thing the DJJ hierichy want is the participation of independent,inquisitive tax-payers... ~Tax Payer
	12/27/07 DJJ Policy: Clean water can not flow from a tainted spring ; nor can sweet fragrance waft from a squalid cess pool. Truth rarely exists in the noble words of deceivers nor virtue in the loins of a harlot. Honest reform,professional ethics and transparent acountability will never exist in a Department staffed so heavily with career miscreants, liars and thieves. Many may scoff at the postings found on this board but most know that DJJ is hopelessly corrupt. Truth is truth in spite of spin,false data,and systematic secrecy. ~Parent
	12/26/07 Other: Boot Camps in Florida took the fall for the failure of DJJ to effectively monitor residential programs in the state. Most of the families and youth that have experienced a relationship with the Boot Camps ,speak favorably of the experience and of the results. That certainly can not be said about the majority of DJJ contracted programs. Unfortunetely the boot camps were an easy whipping boy for the politicians and bureaucrats after the death in Bay County... ~Former Boot Camp staff
	12/24/07 Other: To the Anonymous Poster of 12/17, Do you really think the only problems with the residential commitment programs are caused by a lack of state funding? Just take a look at the current and past leadership in this division. How can you expect any improvements as long as the same old insider,sponges are still calling the shots? Just to envision an ignorant, lazy ,brown-nose,bully like Fred Rhoden tooling around in a state vehicle... ~Tax Payer
	12/23/07 DJJ Policy: Residential monitors that may occasionally attempt to ethically and sincerely maintain clean,safe and orderly conditions in the facilities they monitor are advised by regional officials not to "make waves". DJJ biggies do not like any outside attention to dirty facilities,mold,bullying,security breachs or any other infractions. Check out the history Riverside,Falkenburg,Mandala,Dade or Orange JDCs,Cypress Creek,Bay County BC, all Securicor,CSC and YSI operations. Review the numerous incidents... ~Anonymous
	12/22/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: It will become increasingly obvious whether Walt McNeil is the "Organ Grinder" or if he is the "monkey". If he continues to allow long-established career parasites and incompetent DJJ/HRS hold-overs to hold nearly every key position in the Department;we will know for certain that he is nothing more than a token and a prop. If he will take a stand for true reform and postive change at DJJ by kicking some sorry asses to the curb;we will know that he is a man of honor and courage. 	12/21/07 Other DJJ facility: Has Shari Turner (or any top DJJ official) ever given a reason that she failed to ensure the provision ,to programs, the full and complete medical information necessary to safely deal with inmate youth? Even after the death of the Anderson boy, many youth are held in contracted DJJ facilities that have not been provided information related to individual health alerts or risks. Must there be additional deaths before DJJ replaces Turner with a more competent and reliable medical officer? ~DJJ Facility Provider
	12/18/07 DJJ Policy: Don't expect the so-called "leadership" in the state or regional offices to take any action to deal with the theft and abuse of time,travel expenses,vehicle use,buddy buddy in-house promotions and other corrupt,self-serving practices. Long-time HRS/DJJ career parasites are the worst offenders. Check out the Residential Division officials for an example of a cess-pool organizational structure (scum rising to the top). ~Anonymous
	12/17/07 Other: A lot of the comments read here seem to focus on DJJ staff that are involved in 'stealing', 'acting inappropriate', 'looking the other way', 'allowing abuse to occur' and on and on..... After working diligently for several years with DJJ and working in several of the 'branches', 'silos', 'bureaus', Regions, whatever and after reading this BB for most of the time it has been in existence, I would like to offer the following opinion regarding Residential Commitment: 1) The State legislature needs... ~Anonymous
	12/17/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: " Come Clean Walt...Or get out". This should be the slogan for everyone that is sick and tired of the pervasive lying,stealing and politicking that occurs within the secretive swamp of DJJ. If you are,indeed,more than an organ grinder's monkey for the established order ;Clean up the corruption at DJJ...or hit the road. 	12/16/07 Charlie Crist: Governor Crist, Just Curious...Can any DJJ employee deny that they have observed dishonest use of work time,sick time,vacation time and travel expenses and/or improper relationships at DJJ? The higher up you go in the Department the more abuse of state resources occur. Just allow staff to speak out under a guarantee of no retribution or job sanctions. 	12/14/07 Other: Diana, I fear that those in high positions will choose to remain "blind" and "asleep" to the corruption and deceit of DJJ as long money,power and politics are prioritized above the welfare of kids and the safety of the public. Until our governor and legislators place dead kids ahead of self-serving career bureaucrats ,lobbyists and political wheeler-dealers like FJJA, nothing much will change. 	12/13/07 Pasco JDC: Dear Pasco Staffer, Hum I have to say I differ from what you posted saying that there are lazy dope supervisors at Pasco, My encounter with the supervisors are all positive, Each and every supervisor here at Pasco goes above and beyond to ensure the safe and secure enviroment for the youth in our care, by training us and making sure we follow the proper procedure. 	12/10/07 Charlie Crist: We need a new board called "Justice4Taxpayers" just to deal with the personal use and misuse by DJJ officials of state time, state vehicles,state equipment/supplies, state travel and state bugetary/contracting actions. 	12/10/07 Other: Diana Mathews ,and others that have suffered tragic loss due to DJJ incompetence and corruption, should have chaired and co-chaired the "blueprint Commission". Perhaps then we would have been able to place a bit of credibility in the resulting reports. ~Dunedin

	12/08/07 DJJ Policy: To DJJ Babe, Oh yes Rexy was a "philanderer" back in his earlier days at DJJ. I don't know anything about his present activities, as I no longer work in those offices. Control of DJJ budgets and in-house promotions can be a powerful aphrodisiac to some ambitious DJJ bimbos (then and now). Lack of good looks and class are often trumped by political influence and career enhancement concerns. Many of the DJJ biggies state-wide have attempted to benefit from this sad but true fact. Some are still at it. Some of the gals have done quite well for their efforts. ~State Employee-Lady not a Babe
	12/08/07 Other: Schembri and Chervanik are gone but Turner,and others remain. Justice was not done in the negligent death of Martin Anderson in Bay County. DJJ was not brought to full account for this or previous unnecessary deaths caused by negligence and incompetence. ~Anonymous
	12/07/07 Other: The"special Master's Final Report" does not explain why Shari Turner did not (and does not) ensure the provision of complete medical records and potential health risk factors for all youth in DJJ residential facilities. Youth often arrive at facilities weeks ahead of complete records (if the complete records arrive at all). Martin would probably not have been assigned strenuous, miletary type interventions if his underlying sickle cell risk factors had been known to the Bay county staff. Why has the DJJ medical chief avoided the responsibility for dereliction of duty... ~Ex DJJ
	12/07/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: To Sick of Watching Stealing, Secretary McNeil has allowed Ramona Salazar to continue employment even after she was caught red-handed stealing from the taxpayers during her travels. She not only was not charged with theft, but she remains in a fiduciary role! He has allowed unethical, fruitless spending regarding vehicle usage throughout the state, particularly in the Central & South where taxpayers are paying for vehicles, travel & personal use during taxpayers/company time. Such a disgrace! Why would anything change now under his regime? ~Anonymous
	12/07/07 Other: The "Special Master's Report" reminds me of Secretary McNeil's "phoney college degree"...not worth the paper it was written on or the postage to mail it. The fact that those that enabled the disaster at Bay County to occur are still holding high positions at DJJ; tells the whole story. A state pay-off to the "family" of the deceased inmate youth should not be the final chapter of this event. The negligence and incompetence of DJJ has resulted in so many incidents of abuse and death over the years... ~Still Outraged
	12/05/07 Other: Is it possible that J4K could illicit answers to the questions posted by "Outraged" on 11/29/07? Did DJJ ensure that the Bay County Boot Camp received a complete medical file including risk factors on Martin Anderson prior to his death? Did DJJ fail to adequately follow-up on complaints and reports of inappropriate intervention practices at the facility prior to the death of the boy? 	12/03/07 DJJ Policy: The culprits most responsible for the death of Martin Anderson ( and Willie and Shawn,and Omar, and...)are still holding high positions within the DJJ establishment. How can the people trust such an agency? Why has our governor and legislature not taken strong action to rid the Department of these enablers and to clean-up DJJ from top to bottom? Where is justice for the dead kids? Where is accountability to the public? Phoney diplomas,"Blueprint" skits and eloquent spin-crafted reports can not hide the corruption or the blood. ~Tax Payer
	12/02/07 DJJ Policy: This is how it works at DJJ. When an questionable incident or crime within a DJJ program is discovered anywhere in the state, all DJJ staff and contracted providers have been instructed to avoid any disclosures to the media. All inquiries are directed to a designated spokesperson (liars like Arnold,Lorenzo, and the new boy Cate) in Tallahassee. No matter where in the state the infraction and/or scandal may have occured, the DJJ prepared and scripted response will come only from within the inner circle after all efforts at deception and damage control have been applied... ~Old Timer
	12/02/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: Until McNeil comes clean on all the covered-up DJJ negligence and malfeasence that created the tragedy at the Bay County Boot Camp,he is no better than the disgusting New York City Slime-ball he replaced. All of the blame for the death of Anderson can not be placed on the officers alone. The site was operated under a DJJ contract and legitimate DJJ oversight was supposedly mandatory. 	12/01/07 DJJ Policy: Walt McNeil, Do something about the padded time sheets,rosters and travel logs. The abuse of time and travel logs is costiing the state a pile of money. Probation circit 9 is bad (real bad) but the problem is widespread in DJJ. Word is that abuse of "sick time","vaction time","comp time" and plain old laying out of work at the Tallahassee offices is the joke of the capital. Everyone knows that DJJ officials go shopping,party down,visit friends,go to games and spend time at home while on official DJJ travel time and state expense accounts... ~Sick of watching the Stealing
	12/01/07 DJJ Policy: For some reason ,that is difficult to understand, it appears that Dr. Turner is bullet-proof. She seems to avoid accountability and continue to create her own DJJ empire. Her negligence and poor performance seem go unnoticed even after the death at the Bay County Boot Camp. What's the secret of her success? Somebody should check it out. ~Insider

	11/30/07 Other: How could "Sexy Rexy" have ever been a "philanderer"? The guy looks like the late Chris Farly in one of his Saturday Night Live skits with the horn-rimmed glasses. I suspect he was just a frustrated wannabe player, kinda like Fat Fred Rhoden. Can't say for sure but these guys don't look that hot to this "DJJ Babe". At least "Goodtime Charley" could get down at the karaoke bar with the contracted providers and he wasn't obese. Ya got to give these DJJ playboy wannabe office loverboys credit for trying so hard in spite of their obvious romantic deficiencies... ~DJJ Babe
	11/30/07 Charlie Crist: Governor, Please fire Dr. Shari Turner for her failure to ensure the provision to DJJ residential programs complete and adequate medical information and risk factors. Her negligence was at least a contributory factor in the death of Martin Anderson. Fire her along with others (like Criswell and Davis) that failed to perform proper oversight,accountability and/or follow-up. ~Anonymous
	11/29/07 Other: If it is true that the failure of DJJ officials to perform their duties in an appropriate manner ,thus facilitating the boot camp death in Bay County (and other deaths across the state)...the public deserves full disclosure! Was the staff at the boot camp made aware of the boy's personal medical risks, yes or no? Did DJJ follow-up on complaints and reports of rough tactics at the facility prior to the death, yes or no? Is it true that the "annual" QA evaluation at the site was skipped or glossed over,yes or no? Was Mr. Meredith fired after he refused to go along... ~Outraged
	11/27/07 Other DJJ facility: Probation Circuit 9 gets another vote from me for having the most scum of the month. What a joke. I was wondering why the chief's boss retired - he had to put up with the scum in Circuit 9. Lets see how long it takes to get rid of the next one down the line. Anyone wonder why there are all new staff in Circuit 9. BINGO you win its because of the chief. Probation employees are not allowed to talk to Residential, Detention or MIS. That's fine because the employees get their updates from Probation employee Lucille Rapale. She brings back all the good gossip... ~anonymous
	11/26/07 Pasco JDC: I wish the idiot supervisor from this site would knock off all the ridiculous self-praise and the pretense that most of the emails aren't sent by the same pathetic looser. Pasco does have some good staff but most of the supervisors are lazy dopes. Can't say I see any racism, only stupidity,favoritism and sorry attitudes.I feel bad for the youth. ~Pasco Staffer
	11/25/07 DJJ Policy: DJJ in Florida is like a diseased,street-borne and ownerless mutt;slavering the hand of anyone with the potential to throw a scrap or morsel of edible flesh,fetid or not, in order to sustain a directionless existence. 	11/24/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: Has Dr. Turner ever provided an explanation for the failure of DJJ to provide adequate medical records to the staff at residential facilities? It is likely that Martin Lee would be alive today if the Bay County staff had been aware of his health risks. Turner should be held to account for this terrible failure on the part of DJJ medical services. Has Criswell or Davis ever provided an explanation for the lack of accountability and timely routine QA evals prior to the death... ~Cry for aTruthful Accounting
	11/24/07 DJJ Policy: Thank you Diana for the touching reminder of the DJJ deaths. How sad that many of the lazy,corrupt officials that enabled these tragic deaths still collect state checks. For the most part these crimes were covered-up,smoothed over or buried in deceit. I hope there will be someone on the "Blueprint Commission" that will demand an accounting and justice. Without honest disclosure; DJJ will continue to be viewed as a secretive cult of lies,fraud,and death regardless of what scripted program changes have already been prepared for the "Commission" to present. ~Dunedin
	11/22/07 Other DJJ facility: I have not heard of any thefts of "under pants" at this facility yet but the staff does regularly steal supplies,books and even toilet paper.Tobacco,condums,porn and even drugs can often be found in the "secured" mods. How do you think those contraband items get into this locked-up facility? ~Anonymous
	11/22/07 DJJ Policy: Anyone that has any faith in the "Blueprint Commission" must be an idiot. Just look at those that set up the show and will be reporting the results. Consider the DJJ efforts to prevent department staff and families from speaking out. The script has already been written. The planned outcome of the "Blueprint" promotion was set by DJJ insiders, FJJA and other politcal/financial interests prior to the first meeting. 	11/20/07 Pasco JDC: Ok I have sat here and watched all the postings for Pasco and I cant believe that someone would make a statement that Mr. Roberts is running a racial divided facility and that is so not true.Mr. Roberts is a very caring man and would be there for you if called upon. Mr. Roberts takes the time to make sure that all the youth are taken care of as well as all the officers. So dont post that crap on this site that he runs a racial divided facility. 	11/20/07 DJJ Policy: You're right about fat Freddy Rhoden. Poor Fred's success with the ladies as well as his over-all intelligence and ability is extremely limited but his enthusiatic pursuit of female attention has been noteworthy ( as well as quite humorous) at times. Fred has also demonstrated exemplary skills in the areas of brown-nosing those with influence and bullying those he can manipulate or intimidate. For a dim bulb ,mouth-breathing, slow-moving slob with few skills or social graces this man has gone far in the DJJ world. What does that tell you? ~Anonymous
	11/20/07 Miami-Dade JDC: Bess and Hinson used the stolen money for new cars,and a boob job. The ivestigation never took place because of the imbrassment factor after the escapes this year. ~Anonymous
	11/16/07 Collier JDC: Stealing from the kids is a frequent offense at DJJ facilities and certainly not a new activity. Thousands in property and money was stolen at Dade without a single arrest or even an honest and serious investigation. The theft of underware from the girls at Collier ,however, is truly remarkable. The disgustingly low standards of ethics among many of the people that have charge over at-risk youth in Florida is shocking. ~Outraged
	11/16/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: To the Insider, Instead of looking into just the DJJ babes, why not review the history of good ol boys ie Fred Rhoden? 	11/15/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: Walt McNeil reportedly told the St. Pete Times that he couldn't remember the name of any of his graduate level professors and he couldn't remember whether or not he was required to complete a master's thesis. Is the secretary under therapy for a mental condition or is he simply deceitful? Is his memory loss generalized to all areas or just to certain embarrassing issues related to lies and deceptions? How can he possibly hold such a high and responsible position with such a poor grasp of the truth and/or such a poor memory. ~Voter Tired of the Bull Sh-t
	11/15/07 DJJ Secretary McNeil: After his exposure as a vain and dishonest phoney; why is our "highly spiritual civic leader", Secretary McNeil ,still holding the top job? Falsification of an employment application is grounds for immediate dismissal. Doesen't Walt understand that he is an embarrassment? How can he show his face around the state or at his many prestigious club luncheons. The man is a fraud and should be dumped. 	11/14/07 DJJ Policy: In the finest traditions of Arnold and Lorenzo (former DJJ designated liars) the current department spinner Kevin Cate recently announced that after the death of Martin Anderson DJJ is "reviewing to make sure that policies and procedures are current and clear". They are just scared of her because she will try to fire you if you speak out. 	11/11/07 Boot Camps: If the staff at the Bay County Boot Camp had been aware of the medical risk posed by Martin Anderson's underlying Sickle cell trait it is quite possible that the boy would be alive today. As DJJ,s medical "expert" Dr. Turner should have established procedures to prevent such tragic circumstances. She should have been prosecuted or at least fired for this gross derilection of duty. It has been repeatedly demonstrated that DJJ is incapable of honest and effective self-monitoring. I do not always agree with Mrs. Corry or with the postings on J4K. I still think the closing of most or our Boot Camps was a very bad loss for the safety and security of our state and for the remediation of out-of-control kids. 	11/08/07 DJJ Policy: By preventing DJJ employees and parents from addressing the commission with negative reports; DJJ has tainted the entire "Blueprint" process. The activity was suspect from the beginning. Now that DJJ officials have been caught discouraging open reporting the process has been completely invalidated. Suggestions that DJJ staff be provided either annonymity or written protection from retribution or punitive job action were ignored. 	11/03/07 DJJ Policy: Why hasn't Shari Turner been fired for neglecting to ensure that complete records of important medical conditions are provided to the programs that maintain youth under DJJ supervision? It is very possible that Martin Lee would be alive today if this high-paid (so-called doctor) bureaucrat had done her job. The Bay County staff were not provided critical medical information. The resulting death of Anderson must ,in part, be laid at the feet of Turner and the DJJ monitors that failed to provide oversight. 	10/25/07 DJJ Policy: To the "Commission", If possible, check out the salaries of the do-little DJJ officials in the over-staffed state and regional offices (Davis,Eggers,Etc)then observe what they actually do (not what they say). Check out the unreported time-off taken by Department staff. You will find that DJJ administration is a damn good gig,if you can get it. Don't allow yourselves to be taken in by the Department spin,lies and bull sh#t. Like the Chinese proverb states " A fish rots from the head". This fish stinks out loud !!! ~Another Insider

	10/23/07 Other DJJ facility: Thanks to J4K and the truth warriors for alerting us worker bees at Polk City that PJCF is closing as a DJJ facility. Apparently this was another DJJ and G4S secret. I'm chcking out DOC and the School Board for a job...no more DJJ or DJJ providers for me. Too much behind the scenes funny business. Thanks again for the heads up. ~Worker Bee
	10/22/07 Other: I was distressed to see the name of Greg Chinault included in a recent posting on this site. I had thought this sleazy character had been fired years back for questionable deals,bid-rigging and dishonest management practices. Looks like he still holds a big state position in the Detention Division. That could explain some of the problems in the central region. I hope someone is watching the budget and contracts with greasy Greg's hands so close to the till. He should have been fired or prosecuted not promoted. ~Former HRS Administrator
	10/22/07 Other: Stop this madness. There are good people out there trying to do right by at risk kids. And yes, there are bad people too. The bad ones are there because the people who should be in these jobs can make more money with fewer headaches in other places. The people who write these horrible stories about what happens inside these facilities are the ones who can't find jobs other places and stay there because no one else will hire them with the attitudes they exhibit. 	10/21/07 Other: Welfare, low test scores/school failure,dropouts,crime,and teen pregnancies are all associated closly with chldren growing up in one-parent or no-parent environments. Without a married(to each other} mother and father,I would never have survived the mess I made of my teen years. I am now a successful professional state employee and I am a proud African American. 	10/20/07 Polk JDC: To the Bartow JDC Staff,Your recent posting was sad to this reader.Polk has been a pretty good JDC in recent years. Too bad things have deteriorated under the new leadershnip. Don't expect any help from Chinault. He has never put the welfare of staff or youth above his personal interests. Years ago when he was in charge of Polk JDC and later the regional office he spent more time on his private construction business and personal wheeling and dealing for his own interests than he did at work. 	10/20/07 Pasco JDC: To all the Pasco staff...we are a team, this is not a beauty contest we do not have to like each other but we have to work as a team. Do not let all this negative things bother us. In Pasco we have the best supervisors the best JJDO-II's and the best JJDO-I's and the best administrators. Believe me I have worked at other places and you really could see the diferrence. All from Tallahassee to the region to other visitors everyone say the same things nothing but positive comments. Lets start at the top, word is Dep Secretary Davison got his job because he is a Dem, belongs to the same "civic" orgs as McNeill, and word has it even goes to the same church... Cassandra Jenkins, ditto, only even less experience... Pifer was no less than the 4th choice for Detention Asst Sec... Darryl Olson (Holdover from last Admin), good guy, hard worker, years of solid exp... 	10/18/07 Other DJJ facility: The Polk City DJJ facility has been a disgrace from the beginning. After years of poor management, abuse,escapes,contraband of all descriptions, disgusting sexual activities,leaking/flooding and mold contamination, it would be wonderful to see this corrupt institution come to an end. The recently renovated areas of the facility could be used to relieve over-crowding at Polk Correctional or for the Sheriffs Office. DJJ has never maintained a decent program at this site...give it to Corrections or to Sheriff's jail. ~Anonymous

The majority are born to unwed females (77% of Black births) and often share a home with siblings sired by several different men. 	10/17/07 Other: To "Lori" the Poor-Spelling"Nurse" from NJ, Anyone that worked at Three Springs and can still defend the phoney QA process is either a dummy or a liar. Three springs has a history of abuse that is certainly nothing to brag about. I never heard of anybody "screaming from the rooftops" at TS when the kid's arm was broken or when other kids were thrown to the floor and threatened. 	10/17/07 Bay JDC: The Bay County officers and nurse were guilty of being poorly trained,poorly managed, overzealous,and apparently not too bright ; nothing more. The real guilt in the Bay County crime lies with a state agency that failed to provide oversight,complete medical records or to follow-up on reported problems. Also at fault was a disrupted "family" that failed to provide proper upbringing to an out-of-control youth (without a father) but were quick to seek a financial windfall after his death. At least the nurse and the officers cared enough to try to contol the boy and to do their job as they understood it. ~Former Boot Camp Worker
	10/15/07 DJJ Policy: Rex Uberman is not in the pocket of the inept DJJ old-time insiders or the corporate profit seekers like Chervanik was. Rex is trying to get a handle on the powerful private contractors and incompetent program managers. That's why some are attacking him personally. Everyone should do their damn job. 	10/15/07 Boot Camp: At least the officers at the Bay County Boot Camp were trying to work with the inmate Anderson boy. As inappropriate and ham-fisted as their tactics appear;the officers did work in the open and knowingly on-video. Perhaps they were guilty of rank stupidity and malfeasance but certainly not murder. DJJ on the other hand failed to provide complete medical records, to carry out required oversight or to follow-up on complaints that occurred prior to the tragedy. Martin Lee died in the open unlike the DJJ deaths that have occurred ,due to negligence, in darkened areas... ~Weary Floridian
	10/14/07 Osceola JDC: Abusive staff, Capt Payano's eyes close method. Female Staff Martinez removing her uniform shirt and threatening to fight a female youth in intake. Supervisors aware of incident and swept under the rug. Capt Payano taking care of hispanic females like Guerra, and Brewer when similar incidents happened tapes disappeared. Why?
